I'm planning on buying an iMac 20" with upgraded graphics card someitme this week and I was just wondering how well it would run games. Also, what games specifically wouldn't it be able to run that are out now?

I play LOTRO on my 20" iMac via Bootcamp (running XP) with the Standard VRAM, and it runs fantastic... though it is not at the very highest settings.

Well, I don't have the 20", but I have a 17" intel iMac with an ATI x1600 128mb graphics card and I've run Call of Duty 2, GTA San Andreas, Starwars Empire at War, Godfather, Half Life 2 all very well.

Look at the specs of the thing and compare it to the specs you see on the boxes of games. It's not rocket science!!!!

Everything runs well on a Core2Duo and a NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT graphics card.

Well, If I had a box for every game I'm thinking about buying that would work.

I assume just as well as the 20" but bigger :Smirk:

No the 24" has an nVidia graphics card, while the 20" has an ATI Radeon.
