Hi

I've been waiting for an iMac update but I'm now looking at the new MBPs too.. However when at home I think I;d prefer to use it with an external LARGE monitor, and then use its inbuilt screen when I am on the move.
I have seen a 3rd party dock for it which was several hundred dollars. Are there any alternatives?

All I would want really I guess would be the conenctors on the MBP to be made available seperately, plus a power button so I can turn it on without opening it.

Anything like that exist?

thanks
Dave

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "connectors separately". Why don't you want to use the connectors on the Macbook itself?

because I don't want to have to unplug a load of USB and firewire and audio things every time I move the MBP.. I jsut want to undock it.
