I have an Intel iMac Core 2 Duo 2.16 (20"), which currently has the standard 1 GB Ram. I would like to upgrade to 2 GB of ram, by buying two sticks of 1GB ram.

I also have a MacBook 1.83 Core Duo (13"), with 512 MB Ram.

My question is, once i upgraded the imac to 2 GB can i take the 1 GB (2 x 512), which were in the imac before and put it into the macbook?

Thanks,

Nova

Short answer: yes

The iMac uses laptop components, so most of the hardware is similar to that of the Macbooks
