Hello all,

Pin off of my charger broke off inside my powerbook. Apple/Tekserve requires me to purchase an entirely new motherboard and have that installed for the low low price of $350 - $400. I was curious if taking apart the PB and trying to push out the pin from the other side was possible or am I wasting my time fantasizing about this cost effective solution. Thanks in advance for the help.

Your Mac's Specs
1.67ghz powerbook G4, 1GB RAM, 100GB HD.
I dont think that is possible - the socket is probably only clsoed from the back. You could take apart your powerbook, unsodler the socket form the motherboard and put a new one in. Theres a website that has loads of info on dismantling macs and where to get parts from, cant remember what theyre called though :S
