Hi, first post, need some help if possible:
I found my old internal hard drive from my MacBook of about 3 years ago, and I'm wanting to convert it to an external one. So, basically what would be the best way to go about it? Can I use any of the external hard drive enclosure or is it particular ones for different hard drives?
Also, is it fairly easy? It doesn't seem to difficult but dunno.
Cheers very much

Since it was a laptop harddrive you are going to need a case that has a 2.5" form factor, and you need to find an enclosure with the same interface as that drive. I have never done it myself but from what I have seen it is not to difficult if you have some mechanical inclination.

Cases for Laptop drives are fairly inexpensive and come in USB2, FW 400, FW 800 and SATAII interface types. I'd go with a FW myself. Other than that, it's simple, buy the case, put the Hard Drive in and connect it to your Mac.

I agree that the FW is the best choice.
