Overclocking?

Is it possible to overclock an intel based macbook? if so, how can one do this to the cpu? (maybe gpu later)

Put simply - No.
Even on the MB Pro, the only option for any overclocking will be under windows in Boot Camp, downloading ATI Tools and trying to overclock the X1600.
Am pretty sure this would void the warranty though.

Overclocking is best left to a system designed for this. With Mac's and EFI instead of a BIOS, there is no easy access to the settings required for overclocking.

let alone not much space to cool an overclocked machine, especially a 1fan macbook

i was looking to do this abit ago and dident find anything nd tbh for the extra speed u would get not worth the risks just get one of the new pros lol

or wait till next year when the new supper fast mb come out lol

thanks for the answer. thats what i thought, was jsut making sure. but im hoping leapord will sqeeze as much out of current hardware as possible. all upgrades seem to be able to do that to my buddies emac soooo, why not with a much new intel macbook eh? oh well thanks again guys.

Is there some reason you think Tiger doesn't "squeeze as much out of current hardware as possible?"
