Making the switch from a PC, I am going to be giving up Microsoft Money (strange they don't make a mac version ;D )

I was wonder what others have found to be the best Personal Finance/Banking tool for mac. I found that folks think VERY poorly of Quicken based on reviews I've read. I found a lot of other programs, some of which are free, doing a search at apple.com.

Any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

There are a few other threads you can find here with a little search.
The best overall reviews seem to go to iBank in first and MoneyDance in 2nd. Neither are free, but I think they both have trials.

xBank

Check out xbank on Mac App Store. Quite new. It's simple and clean and does a good job of showing the info you need

I have used GnuCash for some years. It is free & runs on both Windows & Mac. The possible drawback is the reporting, which requires use of a scripting language for anything out of the ordinary. I get round that by using filters then exporting to Excel.

I will swear by YouNeedABudget (www.ynab.com), it's a fantastic tool but comes with it's own methodology. They recently relaunched as web-based with iOS apps, and are still ramping up new features (such as reports) which haven't been released yet.

However, still the best app in my book, and fantastic development team behind it.

+1 for iBank although my needs are fairly simple it does the job - tracking and planning future expenditure - that I need it to do very simply and without fuss. When I moved from MS Money I hated the iBank icons but now I come to love them!
