When I go to my favorite guitar online store, the mp3 media clips don't play

Hi. One of my favorite online sites to buy guitars is a place called IndoorStorm. They offer mp3 clips of their guitars to get an idea about what they sound like. I used to be able to listen to these clips on my iMac, but now the clips are not up.

The reason I think this is a problem is because at work, on my Dell, the clips play fine. What is the difference, what is the problem?

We need more info than that. What browser are you using, what Mac are you using etc.

Also, have you tried updating to the latest Quicktime? If that doesn't work, you could try downloading VLC and playing MP3s with that.

They play on mine. Can you play any mp3's?
Was it only a single mp3 that wouldn't play on their site or all of them?

None of the clips play on my iMac, funny because they used to play for me. I use AOL as my browser, my iMac is version 10.4.9. I notice there is a quicktime software update available for my computer, version 7.1.6. Should I try downloading that?

AOL???? - try Safari at least before you do anything else...

You need to find out if it is your system or AOL?????

Even more I would like to know, can you open iTunes or anything else and play mp3's or do they not play only in AOL????

Sorry, but I haven't allowed AOL???? to touch one of my systems in years.

Thanks for the help, bobtomay, on Safari, the clips play just fine. It's funny they won't work with AOL. Any ideas why?

Since everything with AOL goes through their servers, and presumably a proxy, AOL may be filtering the MP3 files in some fashion.

Not sure, snoslicer could be correct, for me it's just another reinforcement of my commitment made while doing tech support for Dell and MS to never allow their software to touch one my rigs.
