hey kash i was looking for info on this but had trouble finding it. I know about the memory installation and type of memory , but as i said before i have heard that the memory 2 and 1 is not as favorable as with 2 and 2, how much does this impact the ram performance??? because the MBP only will take 3gb max for my version, so would it be worth it for the 2gb card and 1gb card, or would 1 gb and 1gb make close to the same performance???

sorry for repetition.
-thanks

I would think that 3GB unpaired is better than 2GB paired. But I doubt you'd need more than 2GB anyway...

that is what i was figuring, but my brother received some hardware gifts from his job, so i was wondering if it would make a solid difference, instead of being a detriment???
