I've searched through the available sticky before posting this question.

I'm looking for the key command that switches between save, don't save, and cancel. Is there a key command for this function?

Cancel is Command-period. It works for a lot of stuff, whether Cancel is viewable or not. Try it with anything — copying large files, for instance.

Save: Command-S
Don't Save: Command-d
No: Command-n
Cancel: Command-. (period)
Virtually click the throbbing button: Enter
* Change button focus: Tab
* Virtually click focussed button: SpaceBar

* You need to turn on full keyboard access in the system preferences.

Thanks you guys.

You need to turn on full keyboard access in the system preferences.

I can do this by hitting command+f1, right?

On my computer the keyboard shortcut to toggle that doesnt work. Command F7.

And BTW, some programs won't follow convention with those dialog boxes. So sometimes Command-N or Command-D will not do anything at all. It's up to the program's developer to make those work.

Yeah. Since Intel Macs have come along, some posts have to be qualified by mentioning I have a G4. The Keyboard & Mouse might be one of them.

But try Control F7.
