DVD video taking long to encode in toast 8

13 inch Macbook Pro Retina, 2.7ghz, 128gb SSD
I have a 1gig video file which i am making into a dvd video using toast 8 with no menus. However so far it has taken very long to encode. its on 40% and its taken about 4hrs.

Is this normal?

Hmm, I would get done in a few hours. Depends on the quality (video,sound, etc).

What are the specs on your mac?

macbook 2ghz intel C2D, 1gig ram, 80gb HD...

the estimated size of the DVD was 3gb in toast.
