Differences

Hey all,

just wanted some input on what the differences are between a macbook and macbook pro.

I'm in the color printing field, indoor and outdoor. Color management is key.

Your views are appreciated.

Some key differences:

-15" screen on the MacBook Pro (13" on the MacBook)
-MBP has ExpressCard
-MBP has dedicated graphics card (can drive a 30" screen instead of a 23")
-MBP has a Firewire 800 port
-MBP has backlighting on the keyboard
-MBP is made of aluminum (I think, instead of plastic)
-MBP now supports 4 gigs of ram (instead of 3)
-MBP has Santa Rosa processor (faster)

Also worth noting is the fact that the MacBook Pro is outfitted with a matte screen by default, with a glossy screen as an option. The MacBook comes with a glossy screen, with no option to use a matte one. Perhaps someone would confirm this, but I seem to remember reading that the matte screens are capable of reproducing colors more accurately.
