Hiya,

Just a tad worried.

I downloaded a zip file from a source I didn't trust sort of by accident and then I made the mistake of opening it. When I double clicked the zip icon the computer did something but nothing appeared.

Now I'm worried that it's installed something malicious in my hard-drive?

Any help would be fantastic

Thanks,

see your doctor

Have you had any problems? Is it running a little slower than usual? I popped a zip drive in a while back and got worms. I ran Norton and got rid of it.

When you double-click a ZIP file it usually just extracts the contents of it. It won't run anything, so you won't have a virus.

If you look in the folder where the ZIP file was, there will be a new folder or file - the contents of the ZIP. You'll just have to go through the folder looking for anything you don't recognise. Try using List view and sorting by date, in case it's an old file and it appears at the bottom.
