I'm sure that this has been asked, but heck if I can find it.

I like to place my site on my iMac first to check all the things are updated, and links are working properly etc, then upload it to my host afterward.

If I put it in /<my account home/Sites/ folder then I have to putin /~<my account name> for it to resolve.

Where is the sites folder that brings up the apache error page? just my ip, and go.

thanks,

Brian

default should be /Library/WebServer/Documents/ on the system volume.

it can be set via the /etc/httpd/httpd.conf file - it's tricky to edit, get textwrangler, which is much simpler than pico or any other terminal editor.
