Not sure if this is the right place to post this so if not please move to correct place.

I seem to have a problem burning files on my MBP. The main problem is when burning/making dvd's. I have downloaded some iso's and TS_folders and when i burn them i always get an error msg. The msg could be anything from medium error (disc error I believe) to hardware error (drive error I think?) I've tried dvd_rw and normal dvd-r disc but still get these problems. The only way I can burn these files is abit long winded for me as I have to copy the files to my xp bootcamp disc then boot up xp and burn using nero. When i do this the dvd's work fine no problem + i dont get any error msg. When burning in os x I use Toast 8 and have just started to use popcorn but still get the same errors. Any idea? Personaly i dont think it's a drive problem as it works fine when in XP.

cheers

hmm, that's a weird problem. So everything burns fine without any issues when running XP but in the Mac OS you get an error. Maybe it's a driver issue within the Mac OS that needs reinstalled?

What are you using to burn and what type of files in Mac? I use my MBP without a hitch.

When burning within os x I use Toast 8 and popcorn. I have also used disco and have also got error msg's. When burning within xp i only ever use nero. The files I was burning were dvd TS_Video files. I downloaded I movie and when unrared to the TS_video/TS_Audio folders. In toast 8 I picked the burn TS_folder option. When burning these files it always fails right at the end. So when i put the dvd in my standalone player to try it it normally frezzes on the last chapter or somewhere in that region. Nero burns no problem so I'm just wondering what could be wrong. I shall test the drive by burning different types of formats on different discs and see what happens.
