Dang it, but every time I open a finder window, I have to resize the side bar manually to accomadate some of the long folder names I have there. Why doesn't the finder remember how I set it last time and stay that way. Kind of annoying. Any clues?
Cheers.

You know what, since the moment I posted this, EVERY finder window has opened with the side bar at the correct size. Mac-Forums is SO powerful now that it can actually fix peoples Macs across the internet before any one even knows whats HAPPENING. That is AMAZING!!!!!
Ha Ha
ps, thanks pulse-8 for a swift response. I have no idea what just happened but....

i had something similar happen. i found a while ago that i could make the sidebar smaller (so it's essentially an icon view). it took a few times to make it stick for some reason. but now it always opens as i'd set it.
