• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Alright, I just got Final Cut Studio 2, and I want to do a fresh install of it, rather then upgrading. How do I go about Uninstalling Final Cut Studio 5.1.2 or whatever I have? Every time I insert the Final Cut 2 disc I get upgrades, and I want to do a clean install. Thanks!

I replyed to a post that was looking for final cut express additonal content, I gave him a link to apple website that showed you how to uninstall it. I'm sure fcp 5.1 will be the same a little bit. Here's the link to the post and the apple website is in their as well: http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64081. Hope it helps.

This may be over simple, but a little program called AppDelete will do the job.

I have a program like that one and it wouldn't trash all the hidden hard to find things, I'm glad that one worked for you, better then manually doing it.

I checked and I do have appdelete the one with the wooden trash can right. I would still double check if it did take everything off because when I did it it didn't.
