apple mouse-turning off accelerated movement?

I just switched over from windows and the one thing that continues to bug me is how the mouse can accelerate. I liked on windows when i could just turn up the sensitivity so my hand didn't have to move as far. Anyone know how i can turn off the accelerated movement?

I use USB Overdrive.

But you might need SteerMouse if you use the Apple mouse or Bluetooth.

I find that 160 dpi with 3% acceleration is the closest I can get my Mac to Windows or Linux mouse settings.

My Mac would be unusable without USB Overdrive's tweaks. I really hate the way the pointer moves without it.
