Network Folders

MacBook Pro 2.33Ghz iPhone 3G 16GB
When I open the Network in finder it shows about 30 empty folders, I tried to delete these but it said I didn't have sufficient privileges. Can somebody explain what these are and how I can get rid of them please.

I haven't seen any empty folders under network. I only see my /Volumes/<Harddrive name here> drives.

Might be a good idea to post a screenshot of the Network Window ... it's difficult to comment otherwise.
