A friend of mine has 2 macs. I have never really used Macs much. He has heard that I know how to fix computers and wants to know if I can get his Voice to Text programs working.

Apparently I need to know what OS is running.
1. How do I do this.
2. Can you please point me in the direction of a good mac tutorial site.

Thanks

To check what version of Mac OS X you're running:

The good Mac tutorial site is here. :D

Welcome to Mac-Forums, Benaiah.

If your friend has Mac OS X 10.4.x, he can turn on/off VoiceOver by typing ⌘ + F5, if that is what he/she is looking for. I can't remember what previous OS X versions' keyboard shortcuts were.

There ya go... :)

If VoiceOver doesn't launch with that key combo, maybe you have used that key combo for something else through the System Preferences' Keyboard Shortcuts? That's the first thing I would think of...
