saving settings

Your Mac's Specs
Mac Book Pro 17" 2GB Ram, Intel Core Duo
Okay if i changed something in the system preferences menu how would i save it so that it would remain that way the next time are started the computer ?? where would I go to save this information?

You don't have to "save" it, you just change it and it stays that way until you change it the next time. ;)
(I'm very thankful I don't have to go around clicking "ok" constantly as I did on Windows!)
