iPod won't charge

Hi,

I've had my 3gen 20GB iPod for a couple of months now, and it suddenly
won't charge any more.

I've tried:

ipod->dock->firewire port
ipod->firewire port
ipod->dock->outlet
ipod->AC adaptor->outlet
ipod->AC adaptor->different outlet
resetting the ipod
restarting computer
disconnecting / reconnecting all cables, making sure they're all clean

I'm using the iPod on a non-sleeping Powerbook G4.
It mounts fine, shows up in iTunes and on the Desktop.

Faulty AC adaptor / Firewire port is pretty much ruled out, as at least
one of them should work. It's unlikely both failed on me at the exact same time.

It might be the cable, but as I said it mounts fine.

Any suggestions?
