I tried tomato and it was slow for me. Now I'm using Azureus. It's good enough for now so I haven't spent the time to try other ones.

I've had my MacBook nearly two weeks and i've being using Transmission (wirelessly). It seems much faster than using uTorrent on my XP machine downstairs.

Then why did you put it in the Hardware forum for MacBooks and iBooks?

I'll move this to the correct forum now.

Have you opened a port on your router?

Yeah, that's probably the problem. Find out which port does your torrent client uses, and open it in your router configuration.

I use bitrocket and always search via isohunt (it lets you download through multiple trackers). my speed gets up to 200 something k/b

Have you opened a port on your router?

+1

It shouldn't matter what client you're using. If your router isn't setup to have the port open, then it's probably going to be a lot slower. The XP box could just be on an open port by virtue of dumb luck.
