I currently have AVID Xpress Pro on a Powerbook with Panther, and it's mostly worked quite well, though it doesn't really integrate with iDVD so much. My hard drive just died, so I'm looking to get a new one, and thought I may go ahead and upgrade to Tiger. But of course, then I'll probably have to shell out another 80 bucks for iLife if I still want iDVD, and FCP Studio 2 is way too expensive for me. That's beside the point I guess. My version of AVID is older, like 3.8 or something. I was wondering if anyone else has experience with AVID on Tiger. If so, what's your experience been? Should I stick with Panther, or will it function better on Tiger? Will it integrate better with the new iDVD on iLife?
