Im a recent switcher from XP, and when I did I was stunned at how cool the whole OS looked, but my girlfriend was using my K800i earlier and stumbled accross a bloody nifty feature, she managed to set it to remote mode and I was able to control the Macbook Pro from my mobile phone. I controlled the cursor with the joystick on the phone and double clicked using the select button on the phone.

Ive only used it for changing songs in iTunes so far, but it was fun. Maybe there is a use for it.. I havent found it yet :p

This is also my first post, im working on a 15" Macbook Pro, with 2gig RAM. Love it to bits !:D

Hopefully ill stick around.

How did you do that!? I'm looking into getting a model around there soon (K700i or 800i) and I'd love to know how to do that!

Nice quick response, sweet.

I should also be getting an iMac soon, making a full frontal convert from windows !

I can help with the K800i (Nice phone, highly recommended)

1. Press down the Joystic button to access the Main Menu
2. Select the entertainment option from the Main Menu
3. Scroll down until you see a Bluetooth Icon with the title 'Remote Control'.
4. You now have three options, all allow control of the computer, but give you different access to buttons, I will let you see what these do..

I briefly tried playing with Front Row, seeing whether I could FF or RW a program, whatever a pressed I was just taken back to the main desktop :(

sweet, man! I switched to iMac April 20th. Once you go Mac, you never go back.

I hate it when I have to use those darn 700MHz PCs at school. I mean PCs are bad all the time but 700MHZ??

a word of advice when you get your iMac - those things are alot heavier than they look. Also, the keyboard dropped onto the floor because it was craftily concealed inside a piece of packaging which I then held upside down.

doubtless. It's pretty cool every time i just slide a disc into the drive and it slots in. It's like "hahaha beats a tray......yeah".

Do you live in the US? Because I live in England and I was surprised to see that theres no such thing as a British keyboard layout on Mac. Well, it adds the Pound Sterling logo to it but some of the keys are moved around.

Im from the UK, if you find out where the symbol for 'number' (more commonly refered to as a 'hash') is, let me know :p
