My Macbook Pro goes off to visit the Geniuses tomorrow, I was ignoring the fact that the power button was sinking into the case, now the keybord lights are just dead and CPU operating temps of 170.F have been observed playing second life!

The Dew is off the rose with my love affair with the MacBook pro. Not enough to do something stupid like go back to windows, but I am NOT happy at all......

Thats unfortunate, you should really be running smc fan control if youre reaching those kinds of temperatures, good luck with the repairs. I know i wasnt happy for a while with my mbp either (random shut downs). Genius bar took care of me and I couldn't be happier now.

mines going in for dust in the LCD. lots of it, on both sides. very annoying.

not too "PRO" to me, thats for sure. not to mention the first machine i purchased had 30-40 DEAD pixels on it. HOW THE **** did that make it by Quality Control?

I fixed the key lights something buggy in the software, of course at the bar it wouldn't go past 163 F. They are going to heat test it and fix the power button. Till then I'm stuck on the DELL. :(

Yeah mine is constantly running warm now and the fans always 3500+ RPM with just iTunes running. I also have the sinking power button issue :( As much as Apple claims how rock solid their machines are, I'm somewhat disappointed with my MBP and some stability issues. Even simple things like the Kernal_Task taking up 10-20% CPU and well over 300MB ram with no explanation is concerning.

My Mac is back and happy, but I'll be watching it closely.

Woot. My MB has a problem with the power button getting stuck. It's annoying. Sometimes I can press the button down and then spin it.
