I have an iMac with OSX-Tiger discs.

I am considering buying a PB or MBP on eBay that has OSX-Tiger pre-installed, but does not come with installation discs.

Can the discs, that came with the iMac, be used to re-install Tiger on a MBP or PB ?

Nope. The discs are hardware specific.

I would also advise against buying a computer that doesn't include the original discs... its just a bad idea all around. Look for one that has the originals, they aren't hard to come by.

Why would they sell it without them in the first place. You get a computer and you get the OS.
