ok but...

i rang apple support

tried a few things and they said as i had thought - it is a software problem and not the mouse as any mouse plugged in wont alter scrolling speed.

so right now i am re - installing on the imac.

another update once its done to tell you if it works.

gd news

a reinstall (well semi reinstall) - apps n docs stayed in place

has fixed the problem.

thanks pulse-8 for the help anyways.

Yeah you got your mouse fixed now who wants to help with my wierd problem?:Oops:

I've got a bluetooth MM and Keyboard all of a sudden my mouse won't scroll down. Strange, eh! It scrolls up just fine and dandy but it will not scroll down and I don't know why. Its starting to be a pain I've only had it for a few months and I'd like to think it isn't broken but I simply got something crossed. All the other buttons work great and it scrolls nice and clean but only UP:\
Any ideas would be very much appreciated!

Sorted it out. Sounds like its a common problem.
