A cow on my mac.

Ok... I use a mac to edit announcements and stuff for my work. Well i'll leave work sometimes and come back the next day. Turn on the monitors, and there will be a tiny cow grazing on a little patch of grass on the bottom right quarter of my screen. The cow is about a half an inch tall. Well as soon as I move the mouse, the cow looks and runs off to the right side of the monitor and disappears. The cow doesn't show up everytime, just once in a while. So my question is.

WHY IS THIS COW ON MY COMPUTER?!?!

There is no program that I know of that would cause this. I don't know if it's some joke program built into some software or what.

Is it part of Final Cut Express? Is it part of the OSX Jaguar operating system?

If anybody can let me know why this cow is on my computer it would be greatly appreciated.

No idea.. sounds really interesting though.. and doing a search on it, didn't result in anything. Sounds pretty fun though :)

My first guess would be a screen saver, but you said the cow doesn't show up everytime, just once in a while. So I am at a loss also.

A cow on my mac...

Yeah, I have done extensive internet searching for anything referring to this. I haven't found a single thing about it. Not even anything remotely close.

I mean I don't mind the cow... I just want to know what's causing it.

I know for sure it's not a screensaver because the current one I have on there is called Red Pill which is a Matrix screensaver which is really cool lookin.

There really is no likely possibility but a screensaver ;)

When I first saw the cow, that's the first thing I thought was it could be the screensaver, so that's when I turned the screensaver off, to see if that's what it was. And it still happens. So it can't be the screen saver.

What applications or processes are running in the background when you see this cow?

I'll see if i can print the screen and post it the next time I see it.

Only me and one other person have access to the mac, and he's seen it too and doesn't know what it is either. So it's not somebody from work doing it.

Here Is The Cow!!

I finally got a screenshot of the cow. So here it is.

But first... AOL is stupid, so in order to go to the website to see the picture, you are going to have to retype the link into your browser, because if you click on it, it won't take you to the website... it will give you an error.

So without further delay.. the MYSTERY COW!

hometown.aol.com/dragonballzx

He appears in the EXACT same spot everytime. When you move the mouse or touch the keyboard, he looks at you with those big beady eyes, and then runs off to the right side of the monitor and disappears.
