Macbook Slower After RAM Upgrade

You're correct, having more memory means OS X has to rely less on virtual memory. This means the hard drives are accessed less often, resulting in a reduction in heat and an increase in battery life from the drive not having to spin up as often.

2.2GHz Intel Core Duo processor, 120GB hard drive, 2GB RAM, 15" widescreen... pretty basic.
Thanks for the info. Not to hijack this thread, but what type of RAM does my MacBook use? I plan on buying at NewEgg.

yea computers run better on ram that has the same amount of mb and has the same speed.

Thanks for the info. Not to hijack this thread, but what type of RAM does my MacBook use? I plan on buying at NewEgg.
