Mac mini 1.66
Odd few times, the cursor freezes and I have to unplug and re connect
the mouse to get going again.

It's a standard USB optical mouse connected into one of the Mini's
rear USB poarts (had been working OK on a PC for some time)
Seems random, not connected with any particular application.
A couple of times it's not been picked up at boot up.

Any ideas guys?
Would you suggest I get a proper Mac mouse and if so would
you recomend the USB one or the bluetooth?

Thanks for any help:)

I'd recommend Apple's Wireless Mighty Mouse.. A friend of mine has one and I used it while at his place a few weeks ago to play Halo on my iBook. I hate wires, so it works perfectly for me.

THe scroller ball is great too. You can scroll in any direction. You can also set the right side of the mouse to right-click, and the left side to left-click.. It's really nice.

I just picked up the Logitech V270 bluetooth mouse. I'm quite happy with it. The only reason I didn't go with the wireless Mighty Mouse was because people said you cannot right and left click at the same time, and I figure that eventually some game may need me to do that.

Thanks for the response guys.
Will be putting a bluetooth Mighty Mouse on my birthday list.

In the mean time, I seem to be working fine (so far and fingers crossed)
with a Microsoft Standard Wireless Mouse that I had in a drawer.

Installed the Microsoft mouse driver for Mac from their site.
Added bonus is that it let me turn off the Mac mouse acceleration
thing that was causing me grief with slowing down the pointer as
you approached your target.

Thanks again:)
