hey guys,

has anyone managed to get the infrared port that works with the remote control to work with anyother program and/or device?

reason is, i can't get my Sony Ericsson k800i and my Scubapro Smart Tec Dive Computer to work on the infrared.

wondering if anyone has tried using the infrared port and has any success

It isn't an communications IRDa port. It is merely a receptor for the remote.
