quicktime movies in imovie HD??

Im trying to import movies from quicktime into Imovie HD. I can get them in, but there is no sound at all. Is there a problem with importing quicktime movies and is there a way of fixing this problem.

go to the menu bar at the top and click on iMovie HD > Preferences > Imort and see if the box "filter audio from camera" is checked. if it is, uncheck it. that may be your problem.
