Panther (No Classic Mode?)

how come when I do a fresh install w/ Panther i doesnt install OS 9 Classic?

If you want OS 9 (Classic), you must have the install media. It does not come with Panther install media.

did you get it with compuiter, or its an upgrade?
if it came with computer you can easily install it with software restore.
if you did an upgrade from jaguar, you have to restore classic from you jaguar CD.

Classic does not install automatically -- you have to do it's own installation (separate CD icon)

And where would one acquire this "separate CD icon" from?

Scratch that request, finally found it on the hardware tests CD.

Everywhere I had searched simply said "you need the additional media" but nobody stated which additional media in particular.

It can vary from system to system, since some of us have CDs for 10.3.3 and others for 10.3.5 etc
