hey all. i just purchased a powermac for my girlfriend, and she currently has a mac mini. what i am wanting to do is transfer EVERYTHING from her mini to the powermac. i currently have carbon copy, but havent really used it.

will carbon copy do what i want to do? i have ample external hard drives to handle all the files. is there a way i could hook a firewire cable up to the PM and the mini and transfer these? will carbon copy do this? in a perfect world, id like to boot the powermac and it look and have exactly everything the mini had on it.

any help?

Have you tried the built in migration assistant utility?

Like Craig suggests, use Migration Assistant... and with a Firewire cable.
