Finder Archiving

Does there exist a method to add files to the archive you can create using Finder 'Create Archive' feature. All I know how to do so far is create the archive and if I want to add a file to it, I un-archive the file and then create a brand new one with the file in it. Gotta be some hidden feature that allows this

Please, help if you can.
