Hello everyone, I have Photoshop CS2 and a logo I want to put at the bottom of my video like a watermark and it is like a big G with a world in the middle and I know its easy to do but I can't find out how to do it. I just want the backgrond to but croped out and the G with the little world in it to be visible. Thanks

What app are you using to edit the video?

In order to "crop out the background" you will have to be working in a video editor that will accept either .psd (layered photoshop document) or .png (portable network graphics) - because they support transparent backgrounds.

There are plenty of tutorials on how to drop out backgrounds, do a Google search and I'm fairly sure you'll find more than enough.

I am using Final Cut Express 3.5 HD, is their a way to do it in LiveType, I think FCE is compatible with photoshop. This is the logo and i want the white background to be like blank.

well since you are using fcp, I would have put it in fce and put a lumaKey on it, and select "key out brighter" and it would have removed the white. Then I would have dropped the layer opacity, so it was semi see through.

That would make the white of the globe see through - not a good idea. AnthonyJK got it right.

Use the elliptical Selection tool surround the earth Very slightly on the inside by maybe one pixel all around and cut it, or else you will have a white circle around it. Same premise for the G. Then use a little eraser.

O ok the background eraser, is their a way to use the magic tool to do the same thing and is their a better way of doing images like that, lets say if I wanted to have a picture of someone and have the background transparent, do I have to still use the little eraser or is their something biger I can use because it takes a while with that eraser? And thanks for the replys so far
