ibook problem please help

Hey everyone I have a friend, who has an ibook. They installed turbo tax on their computer and now the settings re-boot every time they load the computer, and it asks them to re-set the key chain or something. Also, itunes deletes the library also. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

hmm...try reinstalling OS X from the disks that came with the ibook.

Reinstalling the OS should be the absolute last thing to do.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the applications that are giving him problems first. You can also download and install an application called Oynx. That can clear out the caches and other buildup in those apps that very well might clear up the issue without doing something as drastic as reinstalling the OS.
