Adding lyrics to your iTunes collection, compatibility with iPod shuffle

I did a search of the forum and couldn't find any thread related to this question...I'd like to install the "Harmonic" widget, which will download lyrics and add them to my iTunes library. The thing is, I have an iPod shuffle, which has no display, and therefore couldn't show album art or lyrics. No big deal, but I was just wondering if i uploaded these "lyric enhanced" songs on it if there would be any problems?

To be perfectly honest PixelP 2.o, I don't really know the correct answer to your question. I am almost 100% sure that your Shuffle will play those songs without any problem. The Shuffle as you pointed out, only plays the songs and has no display, so any extra info attached to a song, such as lyrics, album artwork - is useless in this case.

By all means try it, but do ensure you've backed up all the songs on the Shuffle first, either by using iTunes, or a 3rd Party app like Senuti, which allows you access to the Shuffle's library without the need for iTunes to launch.

No, it will work fine. I have a number of tracks that have lyrics on my shuffle.

Does this mean you can have lyrics on your ipod display?

i have tried to install the harmonics widget, and when i click on it, i get a message that it is unavailable or something to that effect
