that's an internal harddrive, you'd need to buy an external case for it.

White Macbook, 2.0Ghz, 1gb ram, 80gb hd
So it is compatible with macs? And could i actually place that in the macbook as an internal hardrive or would i have to buy an external case for it?

it should be compatable just have to format it with HFS or FAT32 to set it up. No you cannot put it inside the macbook as it's not a notebook harddrive. So yeah you would have to buy a case for it with a USB or firewire output.
