Had my first Grey Screen of Death in about two and a half months today.

Computer had been asleep. As it came back up, I tried starting Mail while simultaneously pressing the "run" button on my Parallels XP installation.

Every single panic I've had since getting my MBP has been when starting Parallels or window switching to Parallels.

Pardon my rudeness, following my own post.

So within about an hour of actual usage after the Panic, my Spotlight stopped responding and I couldn't get some apps to close even with Force Quit.

I used the Restart command from the menu bar, but my screen got stuck for 15 minutes on blank (blue) screen with the progress circle meter thing just going round and round. Eventually, I gave up and held the power button until it shut down and restarted it manually.

Everything seems fine now but ... I'm keeping my eye on things.

According to Onyx, all of my maintenance scripts have been running properly.

It's alright ToddG, I'll help you bump it.

Big D- I think you should edit you post and replace [edit: what you originally had there] with "Communism". It would be less offensive, and maybe more funny?

Agreed, please edit your message. All it will do is cause some to be hurt. That is not the purpose of Mac Forums.

Thanks.

I think most people will be disappointed you wasted your 2000th post on this.

Anyway I offend some Homosexuals, they changed it to Communists and now China isn't speaking to us.

the kernal panic is not something that happens a lot. if it does then there is a serious problem with your hardware. i think that the Parallels and Winodws is th cause of it. make sure that after it happens you repair permissions and i would even go as far as zapping the PRAM. just my $.02
