Downloading Music

Powerbook G4 15" 1.5ghz 2gb OS 10.4
Other than itunes and bit torrent, where are people downloading music these days. Up until recently bit torrent worked great but now it never works. Downloads either don't start or they freeze halfway through with messages like "problem connecting to tracker" or "disconnected from tracker". Is anyone else having similar problems or is there somewhere else that I should go?

Is there an mIRC for mac?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is probably the wrong forum to ask how to steal music (with Bits On Wheels, LimeWire, etc).

For legal music you're pretty limited on the Mac. iTunes and some of the free "indy" sites work well...
