Apparantly, i need windows media player to stream some videos on the website. I've tried downloading it, but wouldnt realy do anything. Is the only way to use windows media player only through bootcamp windows? Or cani use it on osx? Thanks guys for all your help. Im very new with macs...and still doing lots and lots of research. All your advise will be appreciated.

Take a look at Flip4Mac. It's a Quicktime plugin that lets you watch Windows media files natively on your Mac.

Also check out VLC, will play pretty much anything you throw at it. It is at the moment anyway, my Favourite Video Player.
