Install quicktime XVID codec

Hi,

I have an AVI file that requires the XVID codec. I downloaded it and took the files from the .dmg and put them in /library/quicktime. The file still doesnt have sound. Any suggestions?

I just use VLC seems to play anything I throw at it compared to Quicktime.
