Is there anyway to remove unwanted updates from the Software Updates page? For example, the "WWAN Support Update: An update for use with Cingular, Sprint and Verizon wireless cards." I don't have one of these cards, and never will have one of these cards. So how can I remove this update from the list?

Click on the unneeded update once, to define it, then go under Update in the menu bar and choose the ignore command.

If you later decide you need the update, you can reset it from the Software Update window.

Brilliant!! Thanks for the fast response!

You must spread some reputation around before giving it to Brown Study again! :(
