lost installation disc, what can i do?

Hey, i have misplaced the istallation disc for 10.4 and i very much need to get access to the optional installs app. in order to install x11. Is there any way i can download the app from anywhere, or even just download x11 for os 10.4 (the x 11 download from the mac site is 10.3 only, i tried).

You can download it here, but I would suggest you contact Apple about getting a replacement. If you can prove ownership, I'm sure it won't be a problem.

That version will not install on OS X 10.4.
There is no download available that will work with 10.4.
The only way to get the X11 package for 10.4 is to install it from a 10.4 disc.
Calling Apple may help, but the best thing to do in this situation is to get your hands on an install disc. Having it is an almost necessary thing for troubleshooting anyway, so you might want to check out some online retailers and see if you can find a retail version of the OS that you can purchase.
