12" mini dvi question

I have had a 12 powerbook (867) for about 4 months. I ordered and received the mini dvi to dvi adapter but apparently it was not meant for my model.

Does anyone know if Apple makes the adapter for the pre-September 2003 models?

If not, what good is a mini dvi port?

867 powerbooks do not have mini DVI, it come on later models only, after several consumer requests. 867 PBs have VGA prts as far as I know. so forget about second display or stuff like that. you can only miror your display on projector or other device. I em not sure if upgrade is possible, chek with apple. DVi is so much better then VGA.

You can do mirroring or dual displays with vga.
