hiya can anyone help me out a bit?

I have a core duo white mac book. Took it away to my parents with a charger and used it fine. Then got the train home and used it again until the battery ran out. Then realised that I didnt have the charger. Had left it at the rents.

Fine fair enough - comp went to sleep and ended up totally off.

then my charger arrived two days later. And since then (6 days) it will not charge when plugged in.

the battery has an X thorugh it on the top right hand side where it normally shows u the level of charge left. Now it will only work unless it is plugged into the charger. Can anyone help or does this have to go back to Apple?

thanks in advance

try taking the battery out and putting back in like literally 20 times....then reboot and if that doesn't work take it to apple

Sounds like a bad battery to me. Try resetting the PRAM (start with the MacBook off, press and hold Command-Option-P-R, wait for the system to chime three times and release).

If that doesn't work, definitely check with Apple and see how long they warrant the battery to be free of defects.
