Do any of you guys have 1 or 2 gigs of ram in your powerbook? I am probably going to purchase one of the new 1.5ghz 15in, and was wondering if 2gb would be worth it. I'm sure it's not necessary, but do any of you currently run that amount?

If you can get a good deal it's never a bad idea - too much RAM isn't possible But for vastly most notebook use, I can't see more then a gig as necessary

i do not, but just a warning, if you do want 2 gigs in your laptop, and unless money is no object to you (not likely) i would suggest checking out 3rd party RAM manufacturers.. apple is expencive when it comes to RAM.

I just upgraded to 1gb (the max) in my powerbook....got my memory from newegg about 150-160 bucks cheaper in the end to do it and it works fine

That would be awesome to have that much ram..but do not buy it from apple...you'll end up having a heart attack..buy third party...I only have 768 cause I couldn't afford a single 1g stick..but someday I will, and it'll be sweet.

I feel outdated. :( My Powerbook can only handle 640 MB of RAM.

*goes to cry in corner*
