New upgrade, still no passwords...

Well i bought panther for my ibook on ebay. and i got it today. It says its upgrading, but i dont know either of the login passwords. so when its done upgrading am i going to have to boot from the disk again and try and change the password? If so how?

A search in M-F using the words reset+password will bring in a truckload of hits 'cause there is a truckload of threads where this has been discussed before...
